La sfarsitul anilor 1940, au revolutionat industria motoarelor portabile cu primele carburatoare cu diafragma. Diafragma inovatoare a permis carburatorului – si, prin urmare, motorului – sa functioneze in orice pozitie si a condus la crearea unui segment de piata complet nou in industria gazonului si gradinii.
